Marriage equality has only just become a reality in Australia. For many it came too late. Same-sex marriage gives human relationships the same respect and credence under the law, and in tern this affects the perception of those relationships within society.
This story follows a lady reflecting back in time on what could’ve been. Loosing in love because her girlfriend decided to enter a relationship her family deemed acceptable.

Do you remember the time,
We took cocaine to ride,
Into to dark, under the stars?

Do you remember those days?
Two girls in the spring rain
Cool mountain air
I still wish we were there

But your father said no
You were destined to go
Back to your home
Where you sleep alone

Do you remember the road,
How it lightened your load?
Weighing you down
That white satin gown

Your ruby red hair
The ring that’ll you’ll wear
As leaves fall in May
On your wedding day

Don’t you remember those times,
We drunk whiskey and wine?
At the old look out spot
With no eyes on the clock

But those days are long gone
We did nothing wrong
Should we be satisfied
With what others decide?

Don’t you remember those times,
We danced through the night?
I said you had to choose
But I knew I would lose
